Established in 2015, WeCan Scholarship Scheme provides grants for students from Project WeCan schools to pursue first degree courses in the eight UGC-funded universities and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts for four years.  Each successful candidate will receive a scholarship of up to HK$25,000 per year.  Renewal of the scholarship will be subject to the students’ satisfactory performance and fulfilment of volunteer hours.

WeCan scholars are also WeCan Alumni members, who will actively participate in WeCan activities as volunteers to give back to the community.   

So far, a total of 801 students from WeCan schools have been awarded the scholarship, including 90 in 2023/24.
