With the funding, phase 1 participating schools receive support from the Quality School Improvement Project (QSIP) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, including professional train-the-trainer courses to teachers, assisting schools in design and customization of class materials, class observation and review, consultation, and monitoring progress.
Starting from 2019/20, Project WeCan has commissioned the Educational Innovation Leadership Project (EdILP) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) to provide professional support to all WeCan schools in their teaching and learning, including offering tailor-made school-based improvement support to individual schools according to their needs; delivering schools’ senior and middle management development programmes; conducting learning clusters and annual Teachers’ Development Days. Among them, the learning clusters are one of the highlights. The learning clusters cover topics ranging from STEM, classroom management, students’ learning diversity, language reading skills and assessment, aiming at facilitating knowledge transfer.
