The U.S. Consulate General Website

The U.S. Consulate General represents the U.S. Government in Hong Kong and Macau. The Consulate staff issue visas; assist and protect American citizens abroad; interact with the host government, media and non-governmental organisations; promote American business and trade; as well as develop professional, educational and cultural exchanges and programs. All these functions support U.S. foreign policy goals, advance U.S. national interests, and strengthen the relationship between the people of the United States, Hong Kong and Macau.

The Consulate’s partnership with Ma Kam Ming Charitable Foundation Ma Chan Duen Hey Memorial College began during the 2015-16 school year. Consul General Clifford A. Hart Jr. kicked off the partnership with an opening speech at the school’s annual American Fun Fair at which Consulate staff volunteered. The fair showcases American culture and the school’s American Studies program. We organised other activities throughout the year, including a regular Social Hour (interactive English dialogue); a Thanksgiving lunch; a naval ship tour; a talk on U.S.-China collaboration during World War II; a U.S. navy crew visit; and the Consul General’s Open House Reception for student.
