Elegant has been working closely with the school to develop the potentials of its students. In the Job Tasting Programme, selected students were assigned to different shops for internship. During the ten-day placement, the students were attentive and willing to learn. Elegant mentors had shared experiences, which equipped the students for stepping into the society. In the Young Innovators Bazaar, Elegant team shared business ideas and selling techniques with students both at their school and at bazaar, providing suggestions from business planning to writing financial statement, so as to inspire the students’ entrepreneurial spirit.

As a sustainable move to nurture the Project WeCan students, Wharf Estates has launched the In-Service Training Programme in collaboration with the Vocational Training Council (VTC) since 2014, to allow DSE graduates to pursue their career in the property management industry. To equip students with career planning skills, Wharf Estates has established a one-year iPlan Mentorship Programme in collaboration with Yan Oi Tong Chan Wong Suk Fong Memorial Secondary School. Over 20 staff volunteers were invited to become mentors, sharing their life experiences that inspire students to explore their interests and potentials. Harbour City also organises art exhibitions and promotional events all year round. Chan Wong students were invited to participate in the large-scale events, such as “Rubber Duck Project HK Tour”, “100 Years Before the Birth of Doraemon Exhibition”, etc., which offer students diversified learning opportunities and broaden their horizons. We have also regularly invited their Symphonic Band to conduct music performance in Harbour City, providing students the opportunities to showcase their talents and enhance their self-confidence.

As a leading Pay TV provider in Hong Kong, we are pleased to share our expertise in TV production with the school’s “Campus TV”. A range of programmes including production workshop, presentation coaching, job tasting and image building class, etc. were arranged with an aim to uplift students’ performance and maximize their exposure. Moreover, the school library was renovated and a new Creativity Zone was established as sponsored by WeCan which greatly improved the learning environment and enhanced students’ interest in reading.

LWK established a mature relationship with Project WeCan partner school, Ko Lui Secondary School, through various activities. For instance, aiming at building up students’ confidence in English speaking environment through the provision of more exposures in western culture, LWK invited native English speakers from the office to provide oral English trainings. LWK also provided professional advice and prepared proposal for facilities enhancement of Ko Lui Café Corner. Consultation was conducted on site to have a better understanding for the workflow of the Café Corner.

We have organized two major events for Nam Wah Catholic Secondary School namely Job Tasting Program and English Learning Fun Day. Job Tasting Programme gave students a taste of real-life work experience, widened their horizons and enabled them to explore their potential in embarking their career in the hotel industry. Apart from actual working experience, students were also provided with a classroom training on introduction of hotel industry and basic customer service skills. On the other hand, English Learning Fun Day encouraged students to practice English in a relaxing role-playing situation. During the preparation process, students were given a briefing session on communication and presentation skills, design and marketing as well as operations, equipping them to perform as professional hotel staff to carry out check in and check out process, table setting and food and beverage service in the medium of English.


Modern Terminals Website

Modern Terminals Limited (MTL) opened Hong Kong’s first purpose-built container-handling facility in 1972. Modern Terminals (MTL) and Cotton Spinners Association Secondary School have become partners since 2011 under Project WeCan. Among the long list of initiatives is a student development facility funded by Modern Terminals. The facility is made a home-like environment for experiential learning activities to enhance students’ self care ability as well as inter-personal skills. To encourage students to communicate in spoken English outside of the classroom and to increase students’ exposure to career planning, MTL has rolled out a programme for a group of students to have the opportunities to chat with MTL’s executives in English.


Pacific Club was established in 1990 and is located in the heart of bustling Tsim Sha Tsui on its own pier with 14,000 sq. ft gross floor area. The Club provides a prestigious private venue with Chinese and Western cuisine and a plethora of recreational facilities for its members.

Parterning with Hong Kong Sea School, Pacific Club has been offering different tailor-made programmes for each level of students. As the kick off for each academic year, “Welcome to HKSS S1 Students” is held at the Pacific Club to conduct several team building exercises and games for Form one students of the school. Other interesting programmes include English Cooking Class, Table Manner Course, Students Serving the Elderly at the Club, Job Tasting programme and Career Day. Based on evident academic improvement, excellent attendance and conduct, one student from each level of the school will be nominated and awarded a “One-Day Pass at the Pacific Club”.

A wide range of bespoke themed activities have been organised by staff volunteers for the students, including activities collaborated with Nike, job tasting programme, company visits, career talks, sports events, high table etiquette workshop and Central/ Western/ Peak Tram one-day tour, etc., to promote students’ learning motivations and efficiency. Students participated have presented significant improvements in academic and all-round development.
