The Job Tasting Programme 2017 was completed this summer. 178 students had a chance to work as an intern in 28 different companies and organisations. The Programme aimed to provide students with hands-on experience and a chance to explore their vocational choices. Supervisors were assigned to students to offer support and coaching during the internship. They would also provide feedback on students’ performance at the end of the internship to facilitate the personal development of the students.
Officiated by Dr Law Chi-kwong, GBS, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, and Mr Stephen Ng, Chairman of Project WeCan Committee, a Presentation Ceremony was held on 13 September (Wednesday) in The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The representatives from supporting organisations, supervisors and the participating students gathered again at the occasion and shared their memorable episodes during the internship.
I learnt how to use English at work and communicate with foreigners.
